Hovema

Hovema is the southern most of the Tassicon Islands.

Geography

Hovema, while once a single landmass, is now a collection of islands separated by shallow waterways. It is however still referred to as a single island for historical reasons. The remaining land is dominated by marshes and swamps.

Collapse

Starting in the early fourth millennium, the island began sinking into the ocean. As ocean water flooded the land, the salt deposits killed crops. This accelerated erosion. By 3700, famine and land loss had driven most of the residents off the island.

Hovema continues to collapse. It is believed that by the year 5000 it will be entirely underwater.
