Regencia

A Regencia is a type of government and can refer to one of two things:

• A gender neutral term for "kingdom". This term is commonly used when the founder or majority of historic monarchs have been female. This government is no functionally different from a monarchy.
• An empire-like state in which a central state, known as the Hearth, governs itself and other states, known as the Region. The head of state for the Hearth, known as the regent, sits at the head of a federation of states to which all nations in the Region are members. Regional nations can have varying levels of sovereignty, with some being fully independent nations while others recognize the regent as their head of state.
